Hey Chels Bells!
Heh that was cute. It’s a little later and I’m not any less tired but I just had to write again. Today was so much fun, way more successful than the first outing. Snickers was just so happy to be outside sniffing other dogs’ butts. She even loved Andy, Amy’s husband who she had never met before. She was just in doggie heaven. I’ve noticed she does get annoyed when the other dogs (especially puppies) jump on her, especially in the face. So she will bark at them. But then she will just run around and be happy. She would go off by herself and then come running back to say hi. I think my parents really do mean well but they haven’t been parents to anything so small in a long time. Plus I think they’re getting old. They freak out whenever she sees another dog, much less sniffs or wants to play. She just wants to be a dog. And I’ve been noticing that she has been better with me. I know I wrote about this already. I’m just amazed at what spending time outside with other dogs (and away from my parents) will do. I think she sees me as more of a leader than my dad. She listens to my mom a little bit more, but I think that she believes that I am the pack leader, if there was one. That’s what Amy says, anyhow. I dunno.. I know she knows that she’s a dog, but the rest of it gets fuzzy when my mom only listens to me half the time and she is all over my dad. I’ve given her my dinner plate maybe twice in the almost 2 years that she’s been here. She will sit next to me when I’m eating but she knows better than to beg. The thing I hate the most is eating dinner with my parents. When it’s just me and my mom, the dog is fine. But when my dad sits down, forget it.
