Hey Chels,
Oh my damn -- what a day.  I am wiped out.  And on top of this, I think I am about to lose a friend over stupid religion.  It started out as a comment on her page regarding abortion and it turned into her messaging me asking me why I don't take the bible literally like she does and if I "really believe in God."  this is what I wrote back:
"Sarah, I care about you.  I really do.  But this God thing is getting annoying.  So either just accept the fact that I think and believe the way I do or just don't be friends with me anymore.  It would really hurt me if you decided not to be friends with me anymore because I consider you a good friend.  But you know what, just because I don't take one book as literally as certain people, does not mean that I'm not a Christian or that I can't believe in God.  If you are going to judge me and ask me these questions then I guess you don't really know me as well as I had hoped that you did.  And that would be a shame because I've hidden nothing from you.

You can decide what you want, but I am not going to justify myself or my beliefs to you if you're just going to throw bible verses at me and then tell me I'm wrong.  Because I don't think anyone is wrong.  I just think we believe differently.  If you have a problem with that, then, well, that's not my problem.

And I'm really so sure you take EVERYTHING in the bible literally.  There's so many contradictions in there that it's virtually impossible to take everything literally and to follow it exactly.  I'm not saying this to attack you.  I just don't see what the point of doing that is or claiming that you do.  That's all.

It's been an hour and she hasn't answered yet.  You think she will?  Yeah, right.  Ugh, have to feed my dad now.
