So, nothing special went on Saturday morning. Around 1, Brian left for the groomsmen room and I stayed in our hotel room and played until I had to get ready. The wedding started at 3pm. It was very beautiful. My pictures kind of suck but it was dark and my phone has no flash. My camera does but I think I was too far away to the right to take good photos. The ceremony was in the St Francis Chapel and it was very old, so the seating was a bit strange. So, the orchestra (3 string) played a Beetles song as Chelse walked down the aisle. They had replicas of The One rings from Lord of the Rings. Then as Chelse and Ryan walked back down the aisle, they walked to Star Wars Imperial March. VERY COOL.
The reception was in the Spanish Art Gallery and OMG it was beautiful. It was like being in a castle. I felt so special.
Chelse gave everyone keys. I figured she’d do something symbolic with it but she never did. Brian told me though that there was a few things they ran out of time to do. Maybe that was one. It was so nice to dance with Brian, too. When all was over, we hung out more at the bar until I was too tired to stay awake. It was sad because all Brian’s friends were leaving for Indiana the next morning so he got somewhat upset.
Sunday morning
---------------------
We got up, checked out, said one last goodbye to the newlyweds and took off for LA. This time, we visited Grauman’s Chinese Theater and took pictures of all the Hollywood stars. I think that’s called the walk of fame.
I found out Michael Jackson didn’t do his own cement block at Grauman’s. After he died, someone took his gloves and shoes and did it for him. Kinda sad that he didn’t get to do it, but makes you wonder why he didn’t! We had lunch at a place called Chicken Dijon or something lol. It was delicious. I’d been so hot outside, I had to pee, and I was thirsty and that was the first place we found that was new to us. In LA, they don’t let you do anything unless you buy something. So if Brian and I hadn’t bought lunch from this place, I’d have been SOL using the bathroom! Some girls came in to charge their phones and the employees made them leave. I don’t think it’s a horrible idea, but you never know someone’s situation so I don’t know. Then some guy came in, washed his hands in the coke machine, picked up napkins from a table and left! It was crazy! But yea, the food was amazing (Mediterranean/Greek). The day was fun, and I was sad not to have a souvenier but we kept looking for a more “affordable” store and there wasn’t one. Really, the prices weren’t bad but we got fuckin’ screwed financially and Brian likes to press his luck, so I left LA pretty disappointed and empty handed. We returned to the car, and took a shuttle to LAX and then we waited to come back to “home”. We had dinner at some seafood restaurant in LAX. Again, not a big selection. If you’re hungry, it’s BK or seafood. Lol. What a crappy choice. The plane ride SUCKED! I was stuck in the middle and they never said when we could turn electronics on so AGAIN no movie. I couldn’t even get up to pee because the guy next to me slept the whole time. So yea, that sucked. I was thrilled when we landed, but sad to be so far away from my new favorite place. The shuttle took us to our car and Brian panicked thinking he left his wallet on the plane. Luckily he didn’t because we’d have been stuck in the parking lot with no money. When we got home we went right to bed (8 am!) and THAT is my Cali trip!
