Beginning of Volume 5

A note from inside:
Dear Rita,
Happy birthday babe!  I love you and I’m glad to have you in my life.  I hope your birthday is the very best!

Love,
Chels

Hello Forks Students!
Welcome to our 2001 graduating class and congratulations: you made it!  I am very proud of every single one of you.  I know that entering the real world is a scary and overwhelming thought but you are all about to embark on an amazing journey!  Some of you, I hope most of you, will go on to college.  Who knows what life holds for you, class of 2001.  You may become doctors and lawyers, engineers and scientists!  Maybe one of you will find the cure for cancer, or win the nobel peace prize!  Maybe you’ll do both.  Wherever life takes you through, remember that it was hard work that got you there, and don’t ever give up!
From rumors of vampires and werewolves, I’ve heard it all this year.  But regardless of all the craziness of our school, and this small town, it’s  been a great year!
So, once again, congratulations to our graduates and good luck!

Let’s go spartans!
Sincerely,
Mrs Greene

Words of Wisdom We’d like to Impart on Incoming Freshman
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Don’t be sad if you’re not friends with the same people you’re friends with now.  As you learn and grow, relationship and perspectives will change. Listen to your head and heart in harmony, and don’t do anything you would be ashamed to look in the mirror about.  The person you learn to be in these four years will teach you who to be when you finally reach adulthood and even after that. Be proud of the mistakes you make, as well as the accomplishments you achieve. Your path is special, so take each moment and treasure it as it comes.  Don’t be afraid to get your feet wet, and just be you. Nobody can be you as well as you can.

Laugh.  Don’t ever be too serious.  Enjoy, treasure and cherish each moment.  Make mistakes and learn from them, then make them again and learn again.  Join clubs, go to dances and football games.  Blow off a class once or twice, and allow yourself to reap the consequences… you live once.  Never regret anything, and don’t be sad when it’s over--smile because it happened. Dance like nobody’s watching.  Dream.
